Lesson 3: The Benefits and Drawbacks of E-Learning

e-Learning is self-directed and self-paced. Learners control the amount of time they spend on any particular topic. This allows learners to spend additional time on difficult items before moving on or to skip material they already understand. This “individualized” approach usually allows learners to complete their education and training faster than in traditional courses.e-Learning is interactive and hands-on. The use of a variety of multimedia in e-Learning increases student involvement and reinforces the learning experience. This leads to increased retention and a stronger grasp of the subject at hand.e-Learning is flexible. Learning can take place anytime and anywhere, as long as the necessary equipment is accessible. The logistics and expense of face-to-face education and training can be extremely limiting when students are separated by distance. e-Learning also allows physically or otherwise challenged students to more fully participate.e-Learning provides consistent and effective training. All of the target learners can participate simultaneously and receive the same information, reducing the variability introduced through multiple sessions in different locations.( Ang E-Learning o Electronic Learning gamit ang modernong teknolohiya ay maaari ng makapag-aral ang mga mag-aaral ng hindi lumalabas ng bahay o pumupunta na paaralan. Sa tulong ng Internet ay makapag-aaral na ang isang indibidwal.Sa mga paraang ito , e- pag-aaral ay may kasamang isang maximum na bilang ng mga kalahok na may maximum na hanay ng mga estilo ng pag-aaral , mga kagustuhan, at mga pangangailangan.)



Walang mapapansin sa aking pinag oobserbahan na Cooperating School sa Justice Emilio Angeles Gancayco Memorial High School. ang paggamit nitong E-Learning. Hindi pa nga sapat ang mga equipment n gaming paaralan. Marahil sa susunod na taon ay maisagawa na ito.



Advantage to The Learner

1. On-demand Availability- Hindi na maiistress ang mga mag-aaral na pumasok sa paaralan. Hindi katulad sa Classroom na mayroon schedule at kailangan na hindi malate at kailangan nandoon ka araw-araw.Basta may internet ay madali na lang ang mag-aral.

2. Self-facing- Pwede mong ulit-ulitin ng pinag-aralan sa e-learning. unlike sa loob ka ng paaralan.

3.Interactivity- May Audio at Video na maaari mong pakinggan at panoorin para sa iyong pagkatuto.

4. Confidence- magkakaroon ng tiwala sa sarili ang mga mag-aaral.

Disadvantages to The Learner

1. Technology Issue- Hindi lahat ng tao marunong mag kompyuter. 

2. Portability- mas matuto ang bata kung mayroon syang gadgets. mas mabilis ang pagkatuto.

3. Reduce Social Culture Interaction_- nababawasan ang pakikipag ugnayan sa iba.
